Hello, I’m Tim Keller. I’m an Animation Producer, Photographer, Software Developer and weekend gardener.

I live in Cape Town with my wife, two kids and beagles – Peach and Luigi.

I’ve produced several animated series including Young David, Team Jay, Jungle Beat, The Explorers, and Munki and Trunk; and two films: Jungle Beat: The Movie (Netflix, 2021) and [[ Jungle Beat 2 The Past ]] (2025).

I started a kids YouTube channel which hit 10M subscribers and continues to grow. Mind-blowing.

My background is in Computer Science, completing a BSc in CompSci and Psychology at UCT. I spent several years working full-time as a developer, then as a development manager, before moving into animation as a producer.

I’ve had a life-long passion for technology, creativity and supporting artists in doing their best work. I’m an avid photographer and love travelling the world in search of inspiration and experiences. I love a good font.

Tim Keller is a producer at Sunrise Animation Studios. He produced Jungle Beat: The Movie (2021, Netflix Original) and Young David (2023, Minno/Angel) a series of five short films. After starting his career as a software engineer, he joined Sunrise in 2014 to work on the 3rd season of Jungle Beat. This award-winning series went on to be broadcast in over 150 countries. He launched the Jungle Beat YouTube channel which has grown to over 11 million subscribers and 5.5 billion views. He also produced Munki and Trunk (52x7-min, distributed by Aardman), The Explorers (26x2-min) and Team Jay (26x5-min, Juventus F.C. / Nick Jnr). Tim lives in Cape Town, South Africa.
